Q: WHERE DO I GET THE TRANSACT APP?
A: Scan the QR code and download the app or search for the app in the Apple App Store or Google Play – Transact Mobile Ordering

Q:  HOW DO SET UP THE APP?
A:  Steps to setting up your app

  • Select Scripps College
  • Choose the icon for the home screen. (Only available on Apple devices)
  • Log in with Campus ID
  • Sign in with Scripps College email ####@scrippscollege.edu
  • Follow prompts
  • Start ordering

Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING A MOBILE ORDER?
A: Guests will place orders and schedule pick-up location and time. Upon arrival, guests will show their order confirmation and dining staff will direct or distribute bags to guests. Beverages will be canned or bottled, and available upon request

Q: HOW DO I KNOW WHAT IS BEING SERVED?
A: On the home screen follow the link “Today’s Menu”, this will take you to our Café Bon Appetit website.  Make sure you are looking at the “Mobile Order Menu”. Once you decide on your selections toggle back to the home page on the app and begin your order.

Q: DO I NEED TO ADD MY NAME + MOBILE NUMBER?
A: Please do. Your name will allow us to get you the correct order when you arrive, and your mobile number will allow the app to send you notifications that your order has been received, is in process and is ready for pick-up.

Q: HOW DO I PLACE A MOBILE ORDER
A: Follow these steps on the app

  • Select location
  • Select tender (Board, Board Plus, Claremont Cash)
  • Select the station you want to order food from
  • Choose entrée option
  • Modify as needed (grill only)
  • Select sides
  • Checkout
  • Confirm order

Q:  WHERE IS MOBILE ORDERING AVAILABLE?
A:  Malott Commons

Q:  WHAT IS AVAILABLE?
A:  There will be three stations offered daily, each will have vegetarian options available:
* Grill | Your grill favorites
* Oasis | Meals prepared free of the top 8 major allergens
* Salad / Deli | Entrée salads, hand-crafted sandwiches

Q: HOW DO THE PICKUP WINDOWS WORK AT MALOTT?
A:
Orders for Malott l will be taken-up to 30 minutes in advance, up to 15 orders will be taken per 30min interval.  We will offer pick up in Malott all day from 11:30 am – 7:15 pm

A: The location will not be active if it has closed for the day, or no additional pick-up windows are available.

Q: WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?
A: The app will allow you to designate your pick-up time for your order during designated business hours in 30 or 45-minute intervals depending on location.

Q: WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?
A: Malott Commons (Northwest Exit Door Holden Court)
Open from – 11:30 am – 7:00 pm / Mon – Fri

Q: I AM UNABLE TO SELECT THE PICKUP TIME THAT I WANT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
A: If a time slot is blocked out, then we are fully booked for that time slot, please select an open time slot.

Q: CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER OR MODIFY MY ORDER?
A: Unfortunately, you are not able to cancel, change or modify your order.

Q: WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT CAN I USE IN THE MOBILE APP?
A: We accept Board swipes, board plus, Claremont cash.

Q: DO I HAVE TO USE THE MOBILE APP TO ORDER FOOD?
A: The mobile app is only for pre-ordering food to be picked up at the designated location, you are always welcome to join us at Malott Commons for walk-in without having to use the mobile app.

Q: HOW LONG WILL THE MOBILE APP BE AVAILABLE
A: Mobile pick-up is here to stay!

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I USE ALL MY SWIPES FOR THE WEEK?
A: You can use Board plus or Claremont Cash to order your meals through the app if you run out of swipes for the week.  All swipes reset each week.
